Organizing with Containers

One of the biggest difficulties in organizing a pantry space is that the dry products we buy come in so many different shapes and sizes. This list would include cereals, rice, sugar, flour and certain types of pasta. These different types of packages never seem to fit well together and typically waste a lot of space in the pantry. One method of storing these products, that we have found to be of great benefit to our customers is to use standard size storage containers.

We recommend square or rectangular containers because they utilize the available space much better than round or oval shapes. Look for containers with little or no taper from top to bottom (another space waster). You will most likely want some small and some large containers for different products, so look for containers that stack well. Using this type of storage system maximizes your available space and forces you to be and stay organized. If you have custom roll-out drawers from Shelves2Drawrs installed, we can place drawers at the correct height to fit your storage containers perfectly. Your pantry will be forever changed for the better!
